Job summary
The Radiotherapy Physics department at Sheffield is looking for an exceptionally able and enthusiastic HCPC-Registered Clinical Scientist to join our friendly, dedicated team at one of England's largest radiotherapy centres.
Suitable candidates will either be an HCPC-Registered Radiotherapy Physicist or be close to achieving HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist,with experience of Radiotherapy Physics.
Appointment at Band 6 might be considered until registration is achieved.
Main duties of the job
Band 6:
Under the guidance of senior staff,
- Check and approve routine and complex treatment plans, shells, dose calculations and templates produced by other members of staff.
- Assist senior staff with the provision of routine physics support to brachytherapy treatments.
- Perform quality control and commissioning measurement on radiotherapy equipment, and associated systems.
Band 7:
- Check, approve, and take responsibility for routine and complex treatment plans, shells, dose calculations and templates produced byother members of staff.
- Provide routine physics support to brachytherapy treatments.
- Perform quality control and commissioning measurement on radiotherapy equipment, and associated systems.
