Scheduling & Allocation Team Planner

Information:

This job is now closed

Job summary

Due to internal progression within our department, we are looking to recruit an additional team member to join our Scheduling and Allocation Team of the Community Intermediate Care Service (CICS).

The role of a Planner is part of the administration function to support the Advanced Clinical Support Worker (ACSW) in the allocation of visits. Working alongside other administrative assistants, in an office setting, you will ensure the visits are planned effectively using an electronic system, enabling the ACSWs to deliver a high standard of care to the patients.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for an individual who is highly motivated, logical in their approach to problem solving, has a keen eye for detail and can prioritise their workload in a fast paced, reactive, and unique setting.

You will have experience of working within an office environment or a health care setting and be competent in IT related tasks and systems, including the Microsoft package, as well as basic administrative tasks.

It is desirable to have experience of scheduling work within a team, however, this is not essential as full training will be provided.

This role is highly responsive to changing demands for care, therefore, you need to be flexible and proactive to meet this demand.

You will be expected to cover shifts on a full-time basis, 365 days a year including weekends and bank holidays.

About us

You will be working for an organisation which values and respects all of its staff and the community it serves. The Trust is a leader in the NHS and research sectors and provides excellent benefits for its staff. This includes commitments to professional development but also many policies to support employees in balancing their personal and professional lives.

Active Recovery CICS support patients by providing care and clinical support at home to avoid hospital admission or facilitate discharge from hospital. It is a citywide service made up of a multi-disciplinary team; consisting of Nurses, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, other specialist therapists, Pharmacists, Advanced Clinical Support Workers, Admin support and Managers.

The service operates from 6am to 12am, 7 days per week, including all Bank Holidays.
