Job summary
The post holder will use the Trust's information systems to undertake comprehensive validation of patients 18 week pathways and monitoring of data quality reports within the MSK Care Group and support training and development of colleagues to improve data quality and patient safety. The aim of this is to ensure information is accurate and to escalate issues or delays in the patient's treatment pathway.
The post holder will be the point of contact for all administrative issues relating to patients' pathway of care.
The post holder will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and will provide expertise in the proactive management of the patient pathway from referral to discharge, ensuring the entire pathway is managed smoothly.
The post holder must organise their own workload within defined guidelines and will be an integral part of the team in ensuring the Directorate achieves their performance targets.
Main duties of the job
Using the full range of Information systems (Lorenzo, ICE, Infoflex, SystmOne, E-referrals, EDMS and other STH hospital information systems) as required to carry out regular validation of patient week pathways to ensure that the access policy is being adhered to and that all patient pathway data is accurate.
Maintain patient tracking logs by updating appointments, clinic outcomes, results, updates from other Trusts and steps in patient journeys on a daily basis.

The MSK Care Group at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provides a service for both inpatient and outpatient care for the entire adult population of Sheffield. The services include Orthopaedics, Rheumatology, Pain Management, Metabolic Bone, Hand Centre, PhysioWorks, Physioplus, MSK Therapy Services and Podiatric Surgery.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 12 months due to the post being recruited as part of a limited term project within the Trust. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts taking into consideration the requirement for the post to be maintained as a part of the project's implementation and the timescales associated with this.
