Job summary
We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic Radiographer into our Catheter based angiographic services within Sheffield. We are England's fourth-largest city, with a population of over half a million and have the beautiful peak district within easy reach.
A comprehensive training package will be delivered in two of the three specialised aspects of Catheter based Angiography. These include Cardiac Angio, Vascular (Peripheral and Abdominal) Angio and Neuro imaging (interventional Radiology). The training will involve development of knowledge, skills and competencies in the use of all angiography equipment as well as recognition and experience in clinical working practices. Any and all training will be tailored to the individuals needs dependant upon their level of current experience and there will be a full Angiographic preceptorship package to cover both practical, theoretical and on the job experience needed relevant to the position.
Your existing levels of catheter based Angiography experience will be the factor as to whether you are appointed at either band 5 or band 6.
Main duties of the job
The Angiography suites across the city consist of 9 labs utilising Philips Allura / Azurion equipment. Our Philips systems offer some of the most up to date dose saving techniques and a multitude of applications ensuring the best possible imaging is delivered across all areas.
Training will be delivered in all aspects of Angiography; which include Cardiac, Vascular and Neuro imaging. The training will involve development of knowledge, skills and competencies in the use of Philips Angiography equipment. Any training will be tailored to the individuals needs depending upon their level of current experience. Applications will also be accepted from students qualifying in 2023.
Successful candidates will join our cross city on call from home commitments for two if the three areas and must be HCPC registered and demonstrate the essential team player qualities that our catheter based Angiography service requires.
