Job summary
Applications for this job role are invited from exceptional individuals to work within the Gynaecology Outpatients Department within the Jessop Wing in the Royal Hallamshire Hospital.
Professionally the post holder will be expected to uphold the Trust's PROUD values and behaviours and behave in a manner befitting the responsible position of the role and in the best interests of the patients we serve.
Please note: Apprentices must have been a UK, EEA, or EU resident for at least the past three years to undertake an apprenticeship training programme.
Main duties of the job
The duties will be many and varied and will include providing a comprehensive quality clerical service, providing a friendly and welcoming reception for a busy outpatient area, ensuring patients' medical information is available and accurately recording, amending and inputting patients' data into the Trust's administration system, and managing each patient's pathway for their outpatient attendance.
In addition to this the successful candidate will also attend college and work towards a customer service qualification.
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for a period of 15 months due to this being an apprenticeship/training programme. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts.
