Are you a highly motivated, passionate, approachable and innovative individual with extensive experience in providing intrapartum care? - if so look no further - we have an exciting opportunity here for you at the Jessop Wing, in Sheffield, as Intrapartum Matron.
The successful candidate will provide midwifery leadership as Matron for the Labour Ward, Maternity Assessment Centre, Midwifery Led unit and the Advanced Obstetric Care Unit. They will be supported by a compassionate and supportive senior leadership team, focused on ensuring women who birth at the Jessop Wing receive safe, evidence-based care, by our Multidisciplinary Teams.
Main duties of the job
The post holder provides forward-thinking clinical and professional leadership to midwifery and nursing staff at all levels within the labour ward, labour ward assessment unit, telephone triage and advanced obstetric care unit, ensuring that midwifery and nursing care is delivered to a high standard and that the midwifery and nursing resource is managed effectively.
