If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Catering Department at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals as a Catering Services Manager.

We are looking for an ambitious, energetic, self-motivated professional passionate about catering and people management.

The right person must be able to lead and manage a team, be a good communicator and have a flexible approach to working practices.

In this role, you will work closely with other departments to ensure that the service meet the needs of patients, staff, and visitors. You will be responsible for maintaining high food hygiene and safety standards, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and regulations.

Catering management experience is essential, including knowledge and understanding of stock control, purchasing, and POS and electronic management systems.

Applicants need to be educated to 1st Degree or equivalent combination of training, short courses or experience.

The post is based at Royal Hallamshire Hospital, although working across sites may be required.

Main duties of the job

To be responsible for managing and developing the catering services of the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (Northern or Central Campus) to provide a high quality patient service within the designated resources and maximise income opportunities.

You will also be responsible for managing the financial aspects of the department, ensuring that budgets are met and costs are controlled.
