Job summary
Sheffield Teaching hospitals are looking for a highly motivated and MR experienced Diagnostic Radiographer to join our expanding MR team.
We are fortunate enough to utilise 7 MR scanners (6x Siemens 1.5T and a Philips 3T) across 3 hospital sites, operating 7 days a week.
The range of MR examinations performed is extremely varied and includes specialist Neurological, Cardiac, vascular, MSK, GI, GU, ENT, Gynaecology, oncology, obstetric, undertake MRI under GA, whilst performing MRI on pacemakers patients and cover MRI Radiotherapy planning.
We also have a commitment towards supporting and developing clinical trials and have a dedicated MR physics team to support this. We have also recently started progressing advanced radiographer roles in Cardiac stress imaging.
Main duties of the job
Applicants will have a DCR or BSc in Diagnostic Radiography or the UK equivalent and HCPC registration, whilst having proven MRI skills. Applicants should have good communication skills, the ability to multi-task and work as part of our existing team. IV cannulation training is provided alongside a comprehensive induction package to ensure you are supported to cover all specialised scanning and post graduate education is encouraged.

The contract on offer is based with MR, rotational across all 3 sites within STH, 37.5 hours per week, over 3 days, including weekends.
Participation on the MR on call rota out of hours is also expected after an induction period.
