Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for 2x Senior EPR Support Officers to join the EPR Team which is part of the STH Digital wider team at Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.
This is a fixed term position until 31st December 2024. The Senior EPR Support Officers will have the opportunity to be involved in the implementation of the new EPR and the future workflows STH will adopt for the benefit of the Trust.
The Senior EPR Systems Support officer is responsible for the provision of excellent systems support to EPR and other system users within the Trust.
The post holder will provide effective and timely system support, being the main contact for directorates, undertaking a wide variety of work that will contribute to accurate and correct use of systems.
The post holder will also provide support to EPR related projects, undertaking a wide variety of work that will contribute to EPR awareness and assurance within the Trust. Tasks will include maintenance of consistent and accurate data on Trust systems, providing assistance in the recording of accurate information, and support to implement any agreed solutions. The post-holder will also participate in Trust wide educational initiatives on the importance of the EPR and clinical systems.
Main duties of the job
Maintain system reference files and NHS Number Tracing.
Undertake and supervise system mergers in a timely and efficient manner to allow for service continuity.
Provide high quality support to all users in the configuration and use of the Lorenzo EPR system, and other systems. This includes logging on to their computer remotely and guiding them to a solution to their problem.
Build and configure outpatient clinics, create letter templates using complex conditional formatting techniques.
Maintain regular reporting using a broad range of tools and techniques, and to provide detailed advice, support and guidance to colleagues.
Undertake appropriate audits to determine data quality solutions for users, including the assessment of potential guidance needed, and liaising with users
This vacancy is advertised on a fixed term contract basis for approximately 16 months depending on start date. The contract is due to end on 31st December 2024 . Where there is potential, the secondment/fixed term contract may finish early, or in the first instance, the secondment/fixed term contract may be extended due to the internal/external secondment of the substantive post holder. The fixed term contract status of the post holder will be reviewed in accordance with the Trust's legal obligations regarding fixed term contracts and secondments in relation to the substantive post holder.
