We are seeking a Clinical Risk Manager to actively support the implementation of the new Oracle Cerner EPR programme incorporating the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) across South Yorkshire and Bassetlaw Pathology (SYBP) Network.
We are looking for someone who can share their passion of Clinical Risk Management, vision, and work ethic, to make a real positive impact on our LIMS system implementation which will impact positively on our service users and colleagues.
A single LIMS is a key deliverable of the SYBP Network Transformation Programme and will be implemented as a single domain solution with the Sheffield Teaching Hospitals (STH) Electronic Patient Record (EPR). The LIMS will be deployed in a phased approach (from 2025 to 2026) to all 5 Trusts within the Network following the EPR go live in October 2024.
We are looking for a practicing clinical individual (Nurse, Midwife, AHP or healthcare scientist) with professional, clinical experience and leadership skills at a senior level and with significant Clinical Risk Management experience.
The successful candidate will be highly organised and take pride in creating, implementing and effectively managing robust risk management systems and processes. They will have fantastic verbal and written communication skills, negotiation and influencing skills and have the ability to remain calm under pressure.
Main duties of the job
- Support the delivery of the SYBP Digital Strategy through the implementation of the new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) supporting and leading the safe transformation of change alongside the Clinical Risk Management Lead.
- Identify, support and lead the safe transformation of change from existing systems to the new LIMS, ensuring benefits are being realised.
- Oversee delivery of the Clinical Risk Management Plan as a priority for the LIMS arm of the Connect programme alongside developing and providing the expertise, within the programme on the Clinical Risk Management System (CRMS).
- Work closely with the Trust's Clinical Risk Management Lead and Safety Officers across all SYBP Trusts interpreting LIMS specific digital health policies to identify and report appropriate controls and mitigations of potential clinical safety risks through the introduction of the new LIMS across the network.
- Ensure that all the digital health systems used to support care within the Trusts are developed, implemented, and used in line with DCB0160 requirements.
- Be the lead specialist for clinical safety within the LIMS arm of the Connect programme, interpreting and advising on national guidance.
- Support and promote the work of the Trusts' Change Networks and Network Trust colleagues to ensure safe roll out and transformation of the new LIMS.
