Main duties of the job
The Microbiology Department at UHS is excited to advertise an opportunity for a Biomedical Support Worker with strong experience in interpersonal skills, time management, and using their initiative.
It is desirable that they already have working knowledge and competency in laboratory bench areas.
The department processes over 1,000,000 specimens per year. We employee almost 100 staff and provide a comprehensive 7 day service covering bacteriology, mycobacteriology, mycology, virology, serology and parasitology and molecular testing.
We are IBMS accredited for pre-registration training and specialist training in medical microbiology, virology and infectious science.
