Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity is available for a skilled and experienced administrator to join UHS within the Division C Governance team.
The successful candidate will be essential is supporting the division's governance agenda, which promotes safe, effective care and a positive patient experience. You will have excellent attention to detail, strong IT skills and a friendly 'can do' approach.
Division C encompasses a vast number of diverse services including Children's Hospital, Women and Newborn, Radiology, Pathology, Clinical Support Services and Trust outpatients.
The Governance team are central to these services and comprise a small team of 6 who embrace the core trust values, interlinking with the wider Trust and corporate functions, building relationships with staff at all levels and professions.

Key Responsibilities:
1. To provide administrative support to governance and risk meetings, including preparation of agendas and papers, circulating these in advance, co-ordinating attendance, taking minutes and updating action logs.
2. Provide administrative support to the Governance Managers and governance team.
3. Act as point of contact for the team monitoring and managing the divisional email account and support with the drafting and preparation of documents and correspondence.
4. Use your organisational skills to support the team to ensure that deadlines are met in relations to patient safety investigations, complaints, inquests and safety alerts.

A self-driven individual who can work independently using their own initiative, but can also work collaboratively as part of the governance team.
You will care about people and be passionate about putting patients first.
You will have excellent IT and organisational skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills both verbally and in writing are essential to this role.
You will be experienced in taking minutes, recording and monitoring actions and able to appropriately manage sensitive and confidential information.
