This 8PA substantive post is an exciting opportunity to join the dynamic Haematology Team at UHS and develop our Myeloid specialist services. The Southampton haematology services are based at the Southampton General Hospital site and consists of 21 consultants, who work closely alongside teams of resident doctors, specialist nurses and laboratory scientists covering all areas of haematology. Our teams work with a range of regional services including oncology, paediatrics, obstetrics and major trauma.
Southampton lies adjacent to the beautiful New Forest and its beaches, and is close to the historic town of Winchester. There are direct transport links across the country, including London and Oxford. We collaborate with haematology colleagues across the Wessex and Thames Valley regions and there are opportunities to develop regional pathways. Our trust supports the development of consultants, including a Doctors' Development Unit that provides mentoring and coaching.

We believe that using technology wisely shows strong time management and commitment to innovation. However, personalising your recruitment application to highlight your unique skills and experiences is crucial. Relying too heavily on generic, AI-generated content instead of drawing from your own strengths and accomplishments may lead to your application being rejected if multiple candidates present identical or similar information.
