Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and motivate Nurse to join the team on C2

C2 is an acute ward which will enable you to gain skills within a haematology setting. We provide a high standard of care to 27 patients 24/7. 7 beds are dedicated to those receiving autologous stem cell transplants.

You will work closely with the MDT to ensure the needs of our patients are met. You will develop a range of different skills and be able to improve your knowledge or gain knowledge whilst caring for patients undergoing treatment for their cancer as well as non-malignant haematology conditions.

We a looking for nursing staff who are fully flexible to come and work with us permanently on C2.

Cancer care overall has very high acuity, C2 will enable you to gain skills to look after those acutely unwell patients. We are a 27 bedded haematology ward, 7 beds are dedicated to stem cell returns, you will be able to care for these patients.

We have a high volume of elective activity for patients receiving SACT (systemic anti-cancer treatment) i.e. immunotherapy and chemotherapy, you will gain skills to be able to care for these patients.

In this role, youll contribute to the provision and monitoring of high-quality individualised nursing care in accordance with agreed policies and procedures. You will:
