Main duties of the job
Join Our Quality Assurance Team - Make a Real Difference!Are you organised, practical, and keen to contribute to the safe production of life-saving medicines? We're looking for a motivated individual to join our Quality Assurance (QA) team supporting the manufacture of sterile medicines for some of our most vulnerable patients by ensuring the appropriate monitoring and defect reporting is carried out.
No prior lab experience is needed--full training is provided, including support to complete the Level 2 Science Manufacturing Process Operative qualification or similar. You just need good attention to detail, basic maths and English skills, and a responsible, team-focused attitude.You'll work closely with our 5 pharmacy manufacturing services, producing over 150,000 doses a year. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable skills in a supportive, dynamic environment.Part-time hours will be considered. All Pharmacy Support Workers take part in the Saturday morning, Bank Holiday, and extended hours rota.

This post is based at Adanac Aseptic Hub, our newly built Aseptic Unit and QC lab and will also involve working at the nearby Southampton General Hospital on a rota basis.The successful candidate will carry out a mix of laboratory and cleanroom tasks, including organising microbiological monitoring samples, reading, interpreting and recording results into our database. They'll also help inspect and quality check unlicensed specials medicines, ensuring they meet the required standards before release.
