Main duties of the job
We have an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric Long Term Ventilation team, here at UHS.The LTV team are looking for and experienced, motivated nurse with the right skills to join our multi-disciplinary team caring for children and young people across the region.You will work within UHS predominantly, but with some time spent in the community in patient's homes, schools and nurseries. Your role will be clinically focussed and will involve supporting both invasive and non-invasively ventilated patients. There will also be opportunity to work alongside our LTV education team and participate in study days.We would love to meet you if you have experience working with children and young people who are ventilated and are looking for the next step in your career.

Qualifications, knowledge and experience
Essential
- Registered nurse on relevant part of the NMC register
- Degree qualification, 120 credits at L6 or possess an equivalent knowledge to be assessed through evidence of relevant specialist training, experience or portfolio
- Significant post registration experience / qualification / training, including experience and knowledge within relevant speciality
- Completion of all Band 5 (preceptorship) competencies
- Higher Education Institute approved course in supporting learners in practice or evidence assessed to be of equivalent experience, demonstrating support to a range of learners in practice. Provide evidence of both supporting a range of learners in practice and supporting colleagues to promote effective learning in practice
- Extensive post registration experience within specialist area.
- Knowledge of current issues within the acute health service.
