Main duties of the job

An opportunity has arisen to become part of the Adult Sleep Team at University Hospital Southampton Foundation Trust. We are looking for an Assistant Sleep Physiologist (Band 3) to join the team, on a 12month fixed-term post (maternity cover).

As a service we accept referrals for sleep disorder breathing, parasomnias, circadian rhythm and movement disorders. The successful candidate will support the Sleep Physiology Team and Consultants in delivering an efficient service to our patients, within inpatient and outpatient settings.

You will also help managing our patient support line, assist with effective stock management, maintenance of equipment and consumables used within the adult sleep service. You will work collaboratively and co-operatively with other colleagues on a day-to-day basis, to meet patient and service needs.

The successful applicant will be organised, reliable, proactive and have the ability to work flexibly. A keen eye for detail and accuracy is also required. This post is based at Lymington New Forest Hospital, where free onsite staff parking is available.
