Main duties of the job
An exciting opportunity to work in the Surgical Outpatient and ENT department has become available for a motivated and enthusiastic individual. This post offers variety and covers many specialities including Medical, Surgical, Hepatology, Gastroenterology, Colorectal, Hepatobiliary and pancreatic (HPB) and Maxillofacial Surgery.
The Surgical Outpatient department offers clinics across two hospital sites, over three floors at UHS, and the Royal South Hants Hospital (RSH), which is 4 miles from the UHS site. This site offers an Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT) service.
You will be an integral part of the senior team and will be supported in your role but also expected to support the unqualified nursing staff and to inspire the team. This post will provide the opportunity to develop in the role and gain further skills, knowledge and competencies.

You will work alongside our multi-disciplinary team to ensure treatment is given in line with the Trust protocols and values.
You will need to demonstrate the ability to promote a collaborative approach to Outpatient service delivery and will embrace the challenges of working in a busy environment that requires a forward thinking attitude.
In conjunction with the Senior team you will be the nurse responsible for the area where you are working and leading the team in excellent service delivery.
Training will be provided to support with this.
Candidates need to demonstrate excellent communication skills both verbally and written and effective interpersonal and leadership skills.Organisational skills are essential to this role and delivering excellent patient experience for people who use our service
