Job summary
Applications are invited for Clinical Fellow posts in the Wessex Neurological Centre's Neurosciences Critical Care Unit.This post is for 6 months or 1 year.The Neuro ICU is a 13 bedded dedicated Neurosciences Intensive Care Unit. The unit admits approximately 650 patients per annum (200 severe head injuries, 140 SAH, 100 emergency neurosurgical cases, 200 elective neurosurgical cases, 20 neurology/general ICU cases).This Clinical Fellow post is 1 of 9 doctors on a full shift rota which is well supported by dedicated Consultant input. A proportion of the posts are at ST3 level and a proportion at F3 level and while previous ICU experience is preferable it is not essential. Applicants with Anaesthetics, medical, emergency medicine or surgical backgrounds will be considered. Support for study leave will be given. The unit is recognised by the Intensive Care Medicine Specialty training committee for training in intensive care medicine and ICM and ACCS trainees work on the unit.
