Job summary
G3 Ward at Southampton Children's Hospital has exciting opportunities for highly motivated, dedicated registered nurses to work as part of the junior management team at band 6 level.
We are looking for nurses with leadership experience as well as enthusiasm to support our junior staff in further development opportunities.
G3 is a 16 bed unit including 4 HDU beds and caters for children and young people from birth to 18. G3 specialises in orthopaedic surgery and rehabilitation, specialist spinal surgery and major trauma patients. As well as specialising in orthopaedic cases the ward supports the children's hospital with medical patients particularly over the winter months. The ward takes patients from across the Wessex network as well as from the Channel Islands and is part of the UHS Paediatric Trauma Centre, the only one on the south coast.
Training to support specialist skills will be provided.
