Job summary
We are looking for a compassionate, collaborative and values driven leader to join us as our new Head of Therapies, leading our brilliant occupational therapy and physiotherapy teams working across both inpatients and outpatients.
University Hospital Southampton is the major teaching hospital and acute NHS Trust on the South Coast, providing services for local residents as well specialist services for people across the region and further afield. With c13,000 staff, operating 24/7, 365 days a year we are also a major centre for teaching and research in partnership with the University of Southampton, the Medical Research Council and the Wellcome Trust. This job is critical to our ability to deliver high quality patient care within our Trust and in the communities we serve.
Managing a large therapy team of around 300 staff, you will lead on strategy, planning and budgetary control with your internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the operational delivery of safe and clinically effective Therapy Services. With your excellent communication skills, your focus will be on collaboration and compassionate leadership; you will work across UHS, and beyond, to ensure our services are meeting the demands of our patients and system stakeholders.
