Job summary
University Hospital of Southampton is looking for trained paediatric staff nurses to join their ward, G3.
G3 is a 16 bedded children's ward caring for patients ages 0-18 years from a range of different specialities including: medical, surgical, ENT, CAMHS and trauma/ orthopaedics. The ward is compromised of 2 side rooms, 5 high care beds and 9 ward beds where nursing staff deliver world class care which includes complex pain management infusions to patients who have undergone complex hip reconstructions and spinal fusions. Here within UHS we are a regional trauma centre - caring for children pre and post operatively alongside supportive rehab following trauma. G3 is an excellent environment to continue your career or even commence your nursing training and gain new skills to successfully complete your preceptorship year. As a teaching trust we support students from a range of universities and offer them individual support as well as opportunity to work in / run a CLIP bay. The ward has a dedicated clinical facilitator who will work in collaboration with the education team and senior nursing team to be able to support you during your probationary period and further support your development in your post on G3.
