Job summary

Do you have experience in a healthcare, caring or public facing setting? Are you hard working, adaptable and quick to learn? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking to recruit Radiology Department Assistants (RDAs) to join the Cross Sectional Imaging (CSI) team.

The job is busy and varied, with lots of teamwork and interaction to keep our department running efficiently and our patients well cared for.Please note that the service operates 24 hours / 7 days a week including bank holidays. You will be required to work a variety of shifts to cover these opening hours (including some night shifts). The shifts vary in length (7.5, 9.25, 12.5) averaging 37.5 hours a week.

The CSI department is a large, busy department with 5 MRI scanners, 6 CT scanners at Southampton General Hospital and 1 CT scanner at Royal South Hants Hospital. We also have a mobile CT scanner, which travels across 3 sites in Southampton. All scanners will be included in the roster for all our RDAs.We carry out imaging for a wide range of patients including inpatients, outpatients, trauma patients and for all age groups.
