Job summary
Southampton Children's Hospital Bursledon House is looking for a dynamic and adaptable Paediatric band 5 Staff Nurse.
Bursledon House prides itself on being a unique and specialist inpatient unit providing holistic assessment and intervention in a home from home environment. The young people and families accessing our service present with a vast array of symptoms and follow a multitude of pathways working including gastroenterology, neurology, sleep, dermatology, endocrinology and respiratory.
The beauty of our unit is having the expertise within our multi-disciplinary team and the resource to observe, assess and plan across educational and home environments. We are looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic and creative nurse from either the learning disability, paediatric or mental health discipline to join us. You will be working in a team that consists of both qualified and unqualified staff at Southampton Childrens Hospital, based at the Southampton General site.

Provide a high standard of specialised care to all our patients
Communicate effectively with our patients and carers, ensuring barriers are reviewed and solutions are implemented and shared across the multidisciplinary teams
Ensure accurate records of observations, treatment and family/patient care is recorded in adherence to NMC and Trust standards
