Job summary

Medical Workforce has an exciting opportunity available for an individual who would like to gain experience within a niche environment. This is a substantive, full-time 37.5 hours per week position, Monday to Friday during core hours.

The ideal candidate should have experience working in a complex administrative environment, utilizing Microsoft Office, and with a significant background in establishing systems and processes. Additionally, they should be experienced in gathering and analyzing complex data using Excel

We are a small but growing, busy, friendly and welcoming team, providing a professional service for Junior Doctor Medical staff at University Hospitals Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. The Medical Workforce Team is responsible for the creation of compliant work schedules for Junior doctors, the setting up and monitoring of Exception Reporting and Medic Rostering on HealthRoster.

A key part of this role is to provide administrative support to both the Medical Workforce team and to our customers, to support Junior Doctor medical rostering across the Trust and to support clinical areas in achieving their business objectives through fair, effective management and implementation of relevant contracts. General Duties of the position include:

Ensuring doctors in training understand their duties and rota commitments and that there is appropriate compliant cover by junior doctors at all times.

To support the User account system and set up accounts for all Junior Doctors and Consultant Rota Leads.

Ensure the support of the system management and delivery of a seamless interface between the different systems, e.g. eRota to HealthRoster.

Support investigations and resolutions of all issues that may occur with the different interfaces
