Job summary
We are looking for someone to provide administrative support for clinical trials and research studies while undertaking an 18-month programme of training to work towards a Level 3 in Business Administration
This will consist of Full-time work placement plus attendance on study sessions/days in line with your apprenticeship training programme.
Based in the Clinical Research Coordination Team you will work on a wide range of research studies, providing admin support to our nursing teams and other healthcare professionals while developing a knowledge of the clinical research process in accordance with Good Clinical Practice guidelines.

Responsibilities
- Assist and support research nurses with the completion of trial paperwork including transcribing/exporting data from medical records/GP Surgery IT systems as required by clinical trial protocols.
- Provide general administrative support including filing, typing, fielding telephone calls, ordering patient notes
- Support the team in preparing documentation for monitoring visits including electronic ordering of medical records, arranging suitable meeting rooms and acting as a liaison when monitors are on-site.
- Undertake patient booking for research visits.
Experience/Skills - As a minimum, to be educated to GCSE standard with a pass in English and Maths at level 4 or above, or equivalent
- Basic skills in Microsoft Office to include Outlook, Teams, Excel, Word
- Good interpersonal and organisational skills and ability to use initiative
- Commitment to completing the L3 apprenticeship training
