Return to Nursing Practice Adult/Child

Are you a Registered Nurse, adult or child, who has been out of practice for a while? Has your Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) registration lapsed or you no longer meet the Revalidation requirements for registration? If so, we can provide you with the support and assistance you need to return to nursing practice through our Return to Practice (RTP) programme run in conjunction with Bournemouth University.

We are not in a position to support any NMC conditions of practice requirements.

The next Return to Nursing Programme (RTP) starts in January 2024 and is run in conjunction with Bournemouth University.

To be eligible for this:a) You will need to commit to working a minimum of 15 hours of fully flexible shifts, over a minimum of two days a week, plus attend 8-10 study days at Bournemouth University.b) The clinical shifts will be on an honorary/voluntary basis (i.e. you will not be paid for these shifts).c) Placements will be allocated according to service needs as well as clinical experience.

Health Education England currently funds adult/child course fees and you may also be eligible for a £1000 grant.

We are not in a position to support any NMC conditions of practice requirements.

If you feel you can meet these requirements, have experience, expertise, and a willingness to learn new skills to be part of our successful and world-class service then return to nursing with UHS.
