An exciting 12 month secondmet opportunity has arisen for a motivated and dynamic senior nurse to join the Young Adult Cardiac Unit (E2) team within our Cardiovascular and Thoracic care group.
The young adults' cardiac unit is a 17 bedded unit for young adult cardiac patients ranging from 16 years old upwards. We are the base for adults with congenital heart conditions (ACH) be they young or old. We often care for adults with learning disabilities therefore experience in LD is an advantage with acute care skills a basic requirement. We also care for the full range of cardiac patients including electrophysiology patients. Our team work closely with the ACH clinical nurse specialists and Consultants specialising in congenital heart conditions.

You will provide expert advice and support to the whole multidisciplinary team in caring for patients. You will be expected to maintain high standards of care and be accountable for auditing those standards. You will also develop, implement and evaluate policies, guidelines and protocols for the management of patients attending the clinical area in conjunction with the Vascular and specialist MDT teams.
WHAT WERE LOOKING FORYou will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to promote a collaborative approach to caring for acutely unwell patients and will embrace the challenge of working in a busy and challenging environment.
