An exciting opportunity has arisen within the surgical care group for a Patient Pathway Coordinator (Medical Secretary) to join the Hepatobiliary & Pancreatic Team. This is a unique, very busy role and we are looking for a team player who is dynamic, enthusiastic and excited to take on this challenge and work with the team to provide a first-class service to our patients
The HPB team provide a range of outpatient, diagnostic and elective services providing specialist care to patients across the Wessex region. The team specialise in the investigation and management of patients with liver, gallbladder and pancreatic cancers and also provide a benign HPB surgical service to patients suffering with biliary, pancreatic conditions and liver disease.
This is a part time role and the hours of work will be between the core hours of 8am-6pm, Monday - Friday. Flexibility may be required based on demands of the role.

Arranging inpatient admissions for elective surgery and any necessary appointments for both pre-assessment and admission. Using Fluency to ensure patient clinic documentation is turned around in a timely manner. Managing the consultant diary, making sure clinical commitments are correct and cancelled as requested.
