Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a specialty admin team administrator/receptionist within the endoscopy service, this will be a permanent position.
The post holder will provide and manage the administration and procedure booking processes around the endoscopy service.
The Endoscopy service is accredited to the Joint Advisory Group on GI Endoscopy providing assurance on quality of the service offered to patients. The service offers both diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for gastrointestinal, hepatic/pancreatic and respiratory medical conditions, provided by a multidisciplinary group of consultants and clinicians. The post holder will be required to work flexibly Monday - Sunday between the hours of 8am and 8pm (usual hours between 8am and 5pm but you may on occasion be required to work an evening or weekend with prior notice).

WHAT YOULL DO:
This will involve booking procedures for patients, arranging transport, answering daily queries from patients and the nursing/consultant team. Reception cover may also be required. The post holder will work closely with the consultant teams, nursing team and wider administrative teams ensuring activity is correctly recorded so that income is not at risk.

We are looking for the right candidate to help support the smooth running of the patient journey by ensuring that co-ordinated and streamlined administrative processes revolve around the patient and their individual needs. This is a very busy role, working with complex systems and with a large and varied workload. We are therefore looking for someone enthusiastic and excited to take on a new challenge. With excellent communication skills, the ability to work well under pressure, enjoy working within a team and have a desire to provide a first-class service for patients and clinical teams.
