Job summary
Applications are invited for a locum training post in Ophthalmology to join an expanding team at University Hospital Southampton NHS Foundation Trust. This position is 12 months in the first instance; however, they may be potential to extend the contract. Successful candidates would also be in a good position .The Department sees over 100,000 patients a year and manages patients with a wide range of emergency and urgent pathology. We provide care for all ophthalmology sub-specialties including Cornea, Glaucoma, Oculo-Plastics, Vr, Medical Retina, and Neuro-Ophthalmology. UHS provides a 24/7 Casualty service, supported by Consultants, Trainees, and Senior Fellows.
The Department offers excellent training opportunities and you will have the opportunity to share knowledge with other senior consultants and senior fellows from all specialties.
The Department has recently expanded its outpatient facilities and is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment for outpatients and theatre.
