Job summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Paediatric sleep neurophysiology team in a Band 7 Sleep Neuro Physiologist leadership role for a six month period covering maternity leave.

You will be a RGPST qualified sleep physiologist and will deliver and analyse high quality sleep studies including actigraphy, videosomnography and polysomnography (home and inpatient) across a range of sleep disorders.

You will work no more than one weekday night shift for PSG or one Saturday day shift a month delivering multiple sleep latency testing.

The Southampton Children's Hospital specialist sleep service is one of only a handful of comprehensive paediatric sleep centres in the UK and services a large geographical area. The sleep neuro physiology team facilitates both home and inpatient sleep studies. We have a skill mix of professionals in our service including, neurology and sleep medicine consultants, clinical nurse specialists, sleep physiologists and sleep practitioners.

  • the ability to work independently, assessing and intervening as necessary to ensure patient safety
