Sherwood Oaks is an acute mental health hospital with mental illness and/or personality disorder.
Main duties of the job
To actively support the Ward Manager in fulfilling all the Key Result Areas and Responsibilities associated with their Clinical/Management Role. To assess, implement, and evaluate care programs for individual patients, providing professional knowledge and skills.Practices which foster and develop multi-disciplinary working will be implemented in all aspects of clinical practice.
The role requires RMN/RNLD Nurse with current registration with the nursing and Midwifery council who will deliver nursing care to patients in line with specified standards within a secure clinical setting.. To deputise in absence of a senior manager.. To lead a team of staff within adult mental health services.To promote and maintain high standards of care through communication, motivation, supervision and role modelling.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

To obtain and interpret physical Healthcare and act appropriately to observations.
