Job summary
The CAMHS HEAD 2 HEAD team are looking to recruit an experienced, enthusiastic and committed CAMHS Senior Mental Health Practitioner to work within the team (e.g. clinical nurse specialist or equivalent). Applicants should hold a professional qualification and have experience of working with young people. You will need to be interested in working with young people who are involved in the Youth Justice system, those with co-exiting substance use difficulties, young people presenting with first onset psychosis and At Risk Mental State and those involved in harmful sexual behaviour
Main duties of the job
To provide specialist assessments and interventions within a variety of community settings to a diverse and challenging group of young people and their families, under the care Programme approach; who present with significant mental health difficulties and who are open to the Youth Justice Service, use substances, those who present with first episode psychosis or At Risk Mental State and young people who display harmful sexual behaviour.
The role also involves supporting junior colleagues through supervision, offering consultation and provision of teaching.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
