An exciting opportunity has arisen for a qualified Social Work Practitioner at Arnold Lodge. The Social Work Team which consists of three Social Work Practitioners, Social Work Assistant and a Social Work Team Manager.
SOCIAL WORK ENGLAND REGISTRATION REQUIRED FOR POST
Arnold Lodge is a Regional Secure Unit in Humberstone, Leicester, which provides care and treatment for 102 mentally disordered offenders, both men and women. All of the patients are detained under the Mental Health Act in conditions of medium security. Arnold Lodge is part of Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust which is one of the country's leading integrated healthcare providers.
We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, dynamic and resilient Social Worker with excellent communication and report writing skills. The successful candidate will work with a multi-disciplinary team in order to provide a high quality social care service to a designated group of patients. You will be expected to work in partnership with patients and their carers, as well as with external agencies.
A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
Main duties of the job
To contribute to the provision of a high quality social work service to a diverse patient population to include initial assessment, risk assessment and care planning, in conjunction with other members of the multi-professional team under clinical and managerial supervision.
To be the nominated social worker for a defined patient caseload.
To be the lead for their multi-professional team on safeguarding issues affecting a defined patient caseload.
Role Context:
To provide a social work service to identified patients at Arnold Lodge.
The role includes liaison with other agencies both internally and externally as well as families, friends and carers.
You must hold a Diploma in Social Work or an equivalent qualification and be SWE registered, or in the process of registering.
We are seeking to recruit a Full Time qualified Social Worker with experience of working with people with mental health diagnosis in a health, criminal justice or social care setting.
