Facilities Assistant

The closing date is 03 February 2026

Job summary

The Operational Divisions and Service Directorates are supported by a range of Corporate Services. These ensure the efficient and effective operation of our core businesses and support the delivery of our performance and regulatory functions. All corporate services staff are specialists who use their professional skills to provide services across the Trust.

Main duties of the job

We are seeking two dedicated Facilities Assistants to join our Facilities Services team, part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. These roles are based at The Health Shop, 12 Broad Street, Hockley, Nottingham, NG1 3AL, a confidential harm reduction and sexual health service supporting the local community for over 30 years. The Health Shop provides key services such as STI testing, needle exchange, Naloxone training, and free sexual health resources.

Each position is part-time, working 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays), with shifts from 07:00 to 10:00 each morning. The primary responsibility is to maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the premises, following strict infection control and health and safety guidelines. In addition to cleaning duties, you may occasionally assist with basic catering and portering tasks to support staff and service users. Full training will be provided for all duties, and uniform will be supplied.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and dedicated team, helping to create a safe and welcoming environment for both staff and service users in an outpatient setting. If you are reliable, committed to high standards, and want to make a meaningful difference in a health-focused environment, we would love to hear from you.
