Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Bassetlaw Children's Community Nursing team as a Senior Children's community Nurse based at Retford Primary Care Centre. In this role you will work as a senior member of the team with specific responsibility for planning, delivering and supervising care for children and young people with acute conditions, complex needs and disabilities, and their families, in their own homes, schools, clinics and other community settings.
This post is for 30 hours per week.
Main duties of the job
You will work as part of the Children's Community Nursing Team with responsibility for managing a defined caseload of children. The post holder will assess, coordinate, deliver and supervise home-based packages of care for individual children on your caseload. This will be working within the child / young person's own home, school or other community based settings the child / young person may attend.
You should be flexible in your approach, have good time management and IT skills and be able to work on your own initiative as well as within a team. The post holder will be expected to develop excellent partnership working relationships in order to provide seamless services to Children and Young people.
Successful candidates should also have knowledge of Safeguarding policies and procedures. Having a degree of flexibility, being responsive to change, and having the ability to work in a creative way are also essential requirements for this post.
