Job summary

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to undertake the role of Caretaker across within our health centres. As a member of the support services team the postholder will ensure that sites are kept to a safe and tidy standard in both patient and staff areas. This post is based at Park House Health & Social Care Centre but the postholder will be required to travel to a number of other sites across South Nottinghamshire as and when required.

Main duties of the job

The postholder will be required to have good communication skills as well as knowledge of health & safety, security.

Job description

Job responsibilities

Work alongside Centre Managers to ensure a safe working environment.

To unlock and lock buildings as required to an agreed procedure

To assist with deliveries as necessary.

To arrange rooms for clinics, meetings etc e.g. moving chairs, tables etc

Sweeping of car park as necessary, including snow clearing and grit spreading.

Keep surrounding area and gardens in a tidy condition.

Make periodic checks for potential hazards eg wedging of fire doors, loose carpets etc and report to the Centre Manager.

Carry out general building maintenance as directed by the Centre Manager.

Defrosting and cleaning of fridges as and when required.

Respond to security incidents as directed by the Centre manager and assist in the security

arrangements at the associated premise.

Such other duties as may be required by the Centre Manager or a member of the team.

To work as a team member with a flexible approach.
