Facilities Services is part of the Estates and Facilities Directorate, delivering in-house soft FM services within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust, across Nottinghamshire.
We are looking to recruit a Facilities Assistant who will provide a clean, safe environment at Lings bar hospital. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing a high quality service.
Main duties of the job
As a Hospital Porter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our hospital. Your responsibilities will include:
Working in our main stores, delivering and collecting items from around the hospital (linen, waste, goods, property, etc.)Operating within the internal postal serviceAssisting with office or ward relocationsWorking in our waste management centreCollaborating closely with the morgue teamWorking closely with clinical staff to support patient care
Core Hours:
Between 08:30 - 20:30Working shifts up to 5 days over 7 days (including weekends and bank holidays)Shift pattern will be discussed at the interview

Successful applicants with no prior NHS experience would normally be placed at the bottom of the band in line with Agenda for Change.
