Job summary
The CAMHS HEAD 2 HEAD team are looking to recruitan experienced, enthusiastic and committed CAMHS Senior Mental Health Practitioner to work within the team (e.g. clinical nurse specialist or equivalent). Applicants should hold a professional qualification and have experience of working with young people who display harmful sexual behaviour and an interest in the needs of those who are involved in the Youth Justice system, with co -existing substance use difficulties and young people presenting with First Onset Psychosis and At Risk Mental State.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.
Main duties of the job
The post requires the person to have experience in working with young people with Harmful Sexual Behaviour. The main duties of the role include undertaking comprehensive assessment and intervention of young people and their families as well as offering consultation to the network around HSB cases and delivering HSB training to professionals. They will be required to be an integral part of the MDT.
