We would like to appoint an experienced Physiotherapist on a secondment for 9 months to develop specialist knowledge and skills to provide healthcare autonomously to patients in their speciality, with support from an experienced team of Advanced Clinical Practitioners.
The APP will gain skills under direction to undertake clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of patients with undiagnosed and undifferentiated conditions.
Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.
You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Main duties of the job
The post holder as an Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioner (APP) will assess, investigate, and manage complex patients referred to the MSK Triage Service .
Work will include triage referrals to the MSK Triage Hub to the Musculoskeletal Clinical Assessment and Triage Service (MCATS), MSK rehabilitation, pain services, podiatry or orthopaedic and rheumatology secondary care services, in line with evidence-based, local, and national pathways, ensuring the optimal management of each patient from receipt of referral. The APP is accountable for independent clinical assessment, formulation, diagnosis and treatment of these individuals with undiagnosed and undifferentiated conditions. They will provide expert professional and independent clinical care which enables the coordination of a multi professional seamless service.
The APP will work with the ACPs and fellow APPs, Clinical Lead and Head of MSK to develop the service in line with national/local criteria and initiatives to meet the needs of the local population.
