You will work within the End User Services Team, this sits within ICT Operations as part of the wider Technology Services function. End User Services provides a range of services to the Trust. These include deployment, maintenance and enhancement of end user device operating systems and applications, management of cloud hosted solutions.

The End User Specialist is a technical role that sits within End User Services. It has delegated responsibility for key tasks enabling operational continuity and future development of Trust user device estate within the End User Digital Systems Deployment specialism.

As part of a wider Technology Services function, an End User Specialist is expected to work collaboratively with other teams. These include, but are not limited to, Digital Systems, Infrastructure, Information Security and Compliance, Clinical Applications, Software Development, Solutions Architecture and Service Management.

Main duties of the job

To assist the End User Services Manager in maintaining operating system images, software packaging and deployment management in accordance with Trust, industry, and national standards with reference to ITIL service management processes.

With guidance from the End User Services Manager, lead on the management and configuration of Trust deployment tools such as Configuration Manager (SCCM) and Intune

Coordinate and complete upgrade and maintenance activities including patch, upgrade, hot fix deployment in line with agreed schedules and processes

Assist with resolution of Service Desk calls and underlying problem diagnosis as appropriate in line with agreed SLAs or OLAs

The Technology Services department provides out of hours support and the Senior End User Specialist (Digital Systems) must be willing to participate in out of hours roster if requested

Please note that this post does not meet the pay level required for a Skilled worker visa.

Lead on non-project work packages to deploy minor works and agreed solutions.

To undertake any other duties that would be a reasonable expectation of the role or directed by the End User Services Manager and delegated individuals.

A full UK driving licence and vehicle for business use is required for this post; however reasonable adjustments will be made for disabled individuals in line with the Equality Act 2010.
