Forest ward at lings bar is a rehab focused service within the area of Gamston, offering a supportive and collaborative environment where patient-centred care is at the heart of everything we do. Lings bar provides a therapeutic environment for individuals with rehab potential following the Pathway 2 process. Encouraging pts to return home following their rehabilitation pathway.

As a staff nurse here, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high quality, compassionate care, working collaboratively with the MDT in implementation of personalised treatment plans. Support patients in a holistic manner on their journey, use your clinical expertise to contribute to a therapeutic environment and champion compassionate patient-focused approach.

The ideal candidate should have a strong team work ethic, positive can-do attitude, strong communication skills, sense of accountability and responsibility, accompanied by resilience and an ability to work under pressure at times. A good sense of humour is also valued.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide quality evidence-based nursing advice, support and care for service users within a rehab focused discharge working with the patients and their families to aim home involving the pt and their carers within a multidisciplinary setting.

They will be responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care, and should have a working knowledge of local, national policies and legislation which govern current service provision.

The post holder will be responsible for identifying and contributing to the training needs of junior registered and unregistered staff and ensure that issues of equality, diversity and rights are dealt with in accordance with good practice and legislation.

They will ensure that effective communication pathways exist, and that they act within their sphere of responsibility, managing the shift in the absence of the Ward Manager or the designated deputy.
