Job summary
An exciting opportunity has become available to join NottsHC as a deputy chief pharmacist for forensics, community health and specialist services. This includes leading on the medicines optimisation agenda at Rampton High secure hospital.
You will lead dedicated teams within the care groups and be part of the senior leadership team across pharmacy and the respective care groups. You will also have the opportunity to work with external stakeholders within the care system.
As we are a large healthcare provider with a variety of services, you should have extensive clinical experience in these specialisms along with experience of leadership.
You will be supported by the chief pharmacist, other deputy chief pharmacists and care group directors. This is an ideal position for someone aspiring to become chief pharmacist within the next 3-5 years.
Main duties of the job
To be the Deputy Chief Pharmacist for the Forensic Services Care Group and the CHS/Specialist Services care group providing expert advice to the Care Group leadership and management teams.
To deputise for the Chief Pharmacist on a range of issues and to lead on a range of delegated areas, as part of the programme of pharmacy and medicines optimisation in the Trust, and external organisations.
To be part of the Pharmacy Leadership Team and assist the Chief Pharmacist with the strategic planning of pharmacy services.
To support the Trust in meeting its regulatory requirements through supporting the Chief Pharmacist with the implementation of Medicines Optimisation, including leading the Trust's efforts on delegated portfolio items within the respective care groups.
