Main duties of the job

Newark and Sherwood District are hoping to recruit a motivated and enthusiastic Specialist Public Health Practitioner, (Health Visitor) to join our Integrated Healthy Families Team within the Locality. Care will be delivered in line with the National and Local guidelines and public health priorities.

You will work as part of a team to deliver universal and targeted health services to the 0-19 year population and will be responsible for the day to day management of a defined caseload, managing and supporting a skill mix team.

You will be expected to develop excellent partnership working relationships in order to provide seamless services to Children, Young people and their families. This role will provide leadership and expertise across Universal Children's Services within Health Visiting and will support organisational changes.

This post requires a knowledgeable practitioner with excellent communication skills and a desire to develop their leadership and management skills. You will possess the Specialist Practitioner Degree (Health Visitor) as well as a first level degree in nursing.

We support a hybrid working manner, when appropriate and at the Manager's discretion, out and about for clinical purposes and working from home when possible.
