Job summary

We have an exciting opportunity for a substantive 25 hours a week Clinical Lead Physiotherapist. The Clinical Lead Physiotherapist works across our inpatient wards as part of the Acute Adult Mental Health Care Unit sitting in the Mental Health Care Group.

The post holder will work across nine wards providing specialist physiotherapy assessment ad intervention to the inpatient population. Lead on profession specific projects and influence future service developments. The post holder will need to be autonomous; working as a sole practitioner, working closely with the MDT and will be supported as part of the inpatient therapy team which consists of Occupational Therapists, Speech and language therapists and a Dietitian.

Bases at Highbury Hospital, Bulwell and Sherwood Oaks, Mansfield. There will be some requirement to travel between sites.

Please note applicants will be required to pay for their DBS check. Costs are deducted from salary following appointment. The cost of the DBS application is £26.40 (standard) or £54.40 (enhanced), this cost will be deducted from your salary over the first 2 months of employment.

You are encouraged to enrol for the DBS Update Service. An annual fee of £16 per year applies.

Main duties of the job

To work collaboratively with colleagues in Acute Adult Mental Health Care Unit to provide evidence based physiotherapy for our service users. The role requires an experienced, senior clinician with proven clinical and leadership skills.
