Clinical Security Liaison Nurse

Job summary

As a Clinical Security Liaison Nurse you will be working with multi-disciplinary teams to achieve improve patient care and health outcomes through the assurance of a safe and therapeutic environment. In addition to general (operational) security duties, specialist security advice and training will be provided. This role will be a direct link between all areas of the hospital, both clinical and non-clinical to influence physical, procedural, and relational security into embedded practices.

The post holder will support the intelligence team and control center personnel to provide a fully integrated security department, fulfilling all its roles and responsibilities whilst remaining compliant with the Trust and local Policies and Procedures.

The role will actively support the senior security management team to ensure and evidence compliance across a range of criteria to include the High Security Psychiatric Directions (2019).

Main duties of the job

Provide security advice and liaison to Clinical Directorates and the wider hospital, including immediate

response to emergency situations.

Provide quality training to all grades of staff and disciplines across a range of areas of expertise.

Provide expert advice on a Hospital wide basis.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

Be an integral participating member of the MDT.

Conduct audit and project work and transcend this to improvement in services.
