Job summary

The IT Training team is part of the Clinical Applications Team (Health Informatics Service), and this role provides training and support for a range of clinical and non-clinical applications, using a variety of learning tools, supporting all learning styles and abilities.

This role requires an experienced IT Trainer who can train on any given syllabus which might include formal classroom training (face-to-face and virtually), running workshops, 'one to one' support and floor walking, as well as developing and maintaining support materials and self-help learning tools (eLearning, videos, user guides).

The delivery of training can take place at any of the Trust's locations including the applications users' place of work, including our offices, community bases and inpatient areas.

Main duties of the job

  • To run instructor led classroom style training in person and virtually.
  • To train staff on multiple clinical and non-clinical applications.
  • To evaluate and sign-off user competencies where required for access to applications.
  • Act as IT Training lead for projects and developments as part of project/programme delivery.
  • To maintain and keep updated scheduled training sessions wherever published such as intranet and internet.
  • To liaise with colleagues across the trust to arrange ad-hoc sessions for bank and non-bank members of staff.
  • To regularly review shared resources to ensure all queries have been addressed in a timely and accurate manner.
  • To keep training documentation, eLearning and all relevant training material updated in line with upgrades, new developments and/or changes.
  • To engage with and respond accordingly to internal and external feedback and reviews.
  • Assists with team and course administration.
