Job summary

It is an exciting time for shaping and developing Nottinghamshire Eating Disorder Service. Most recent developments include the commissioning of a service which will initially begin with scoping the needs of adults presenting with ARFID in Nottinghamshire

This role is fundamentally to contribute to the scoping of the development of an Adult ARFID Service within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The post holder will work alongside other disciplines to develop a comprehensive Adult ARFID pathway. They will lead on matters related to OT provision of the local Adult ARFID population, this will include offering professional consultation to other professionals and services, alongside the gathering of data to inform future model of provision for adults presenting with ARFID.

Main duties of the job

The Specialist OT role within the Adult ARFID Service, will sit within the Eating Disorder service within The Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

The role requires a high level of clinical and professional expertise in order that in the longer-term needs of clients and their carers benefit from a well-coordinated pro-active, specialist, efficient and effective Adult ARFID Service.

The post holder will be invited to play a key role in local strategic developments of ARFID provision. As an emerging area, there is scope and need for research and evaluation. Through established networks and platforms, the post holder has the opportunity to influence and shape ARFID provision on a wider and national level.
