This is an excellent opportunity to work in a forward-thinking Directorate always looking for ways to improve our services which will indirectly enhance healthcare delivery in our own community. You will report to the Estates Operational Maintenance Manager operating in a role that offers diverse requirements across a varied property portfolio of circa 80 sites. We are looking for a driven forward-thinking individual who wants to progress and can use their initiative and work within this committed team to bring the best out of people going forward. You will be managing a team of Estates Officers, Direct Labour Trades staff and the Estates Helpdesk, for us to deliver both planned and reactive breakdown maintenance services to both freehold and leased properties ensuring the Trust is statutory compliant from a building and engineering perspective, and that buildings are always fit for purpose. You will at times be required to liaise and collaborate with your colleagues in the Estates Forensic Division where the services are contracted out to ensure we are providing consistent services across the Trust estate.
Main duties of the job
Managing the maintenance delivery, you will be working closely with the Monitoring Officer and the Helpdesk to provide assurances using the KPI reports (Key Performance Indicators) to show we are achieving the levels of service delivery required for us to maintaining statutory compliance across the estate in all areas of engineering plant and building fabric. Following training you will be expected to accept any roles required by the post of Authorised Person and Responsible Persons.
